Last 50/Replacements Update
about 6 years ago – Fri, Apr 13, 2018 at 07:12:26 PM

The Last 50!

We can't express how happy we are to bring you this update with good news!!

As we speak, the freight pickup has been scheduled to bring the necessary amount of games into the UK so we can get the remainder of the "last 50" their games.

Getting this done was not simple and required a lot of back and forth with different fulfillment centers. The logistics of sending a small amount proved very difficult as many companies wouldn't even bother taking on the job. Fortunately we were able to get a reputable name to agree to handle the situation for us and we're glad we will be able to get those few remaining their games duty and VAT free as we had promised. Once we are given a firm ETA for the delivery we will update you guys so you know when to expect your packages.

We want to thank you again for your patience and understanding as we went through this situation. We completely understand that it's been very frustrating!

Replacements:

Replacements are all caught up now, so if you sent an email to [email protected], your package either went out already, or is going out very soon.

From the comments and emails we've received, it seems that the time it takes for a replacement package to arrive is varying wildly from person to person, probably based on location--we've mailed packages on the same day that ended up arriving 2 days later for one person and 3 weeks later for another, so we ask that you continue to be patient.

That being said, we will not be accepting further replacement requests from US/Canada/Asia backers after April 30th.  Please double-check your games and get in your replacement requests before then!

The community wiki at the following link is a great resource that sums up what cards you should have for each scenario.

Obviously the deadline for EU/AU/Rest of the world will be extended until the last 50 are fulfilled.

Once again, thanks to all of you who have been patient and supportive during this final process. We always want to make sure everyone gets a fair shake and it's been nice to see you guys step up and help one another along the way.

Fulfillment/Replacement Update
about 6 years ago – Sat, Mar 24, 2018 at 01:25:21 AM

Hey all,

We know it's been a while, but we wanted to check in and let you know we're still working to make sure we can finish fulfillment for last few backers still waiting for The Shared Dream.

Here's a quick update on what's going on:

"The Last 50"

Less actually! The infamous group has shrunk to about 40 and we are working to get it to zero. Euro friendly shipping has proven to be a vast expense and inconvenience due to the circumstances we are contending with. In our search for solutions, we have found that we are hardly alone in this difficulty. Whether it's in the comments of Kickstarter campaigns or the exhibit halls of the GAMA trade show, European fulfillment has become a hot topic in general. Many of the most commonly used European fulfillment centers have been experiencing serious problems.

Unfortunately, these problems have made it difficult for us to resolve this quickly. The good news is that our recent trade show visit has put us in touch with an outside entity who wishes to help us get this fixed in a reasonable manner. We're discussing the process with them now and hope to have an update and resolution for you soon.

Replacements

If you sent a replacements email to the appropriate place, we have received it and begun (or completed) the process of getting you what you need. The majority of replacements have been sent out, but we're still working through the final bit of the list. Multiple large snow storms have seen mail service slowed to a crawl in the US which has caused a couple of delays. By the time of our next update, we hope to have all (or close to all) replacements sent out. We apologize for the delay and thank you for your patience.

Remaining 50 Update
about 6 years ago – Sat, Feb 10, 2018 at 02:32:53 PM

This past week, we sent a limited number of copies of The Shared Dream through our US fulfillment partner to some backers (if you are one, you will have received a tracking number email yesterday.) For those backers only: if you end up having to pay customs on your package, please keep an official record of the amount you paid and contact us so we can resolve the issue.

For those of you who have NOT received a tracking number yet, you have 2 options:

1) You can agree to take on the risk and cost of any customs payments you may have to make, and we will send you your copy immediately from the US.

2) You can decide to wait while we attempt to find a different solution to ship to the EU. We do not currently have a timeline for how long this may take, but we will continue to update the project once we have any news on this front.

If you choose #1, please send an email to [email protected] and we will send your copy out right away.

If you choose #2, we appreciate your patience as we continue to try to resolve this problem.

Thank you.

The Final 50 - Shipping Update 2/6/18
about 6 years ago – Wed, Feb 07, 2018 at 10:51:40 PM

As of right now, only 50 people are still waiting for their rewards to be shipped. We'd like to explain what is going on so you are up to date.

We have mentioned before that we specifically chose fulfillment partners with good reputations to avoid any issues and for the most part, everything has gone smoothly.

Unfortunately, Happyshops has a discrepancy with their inventory. Between their damaged games and their inability to account for the entirety of the shipment they received, they are now short the copies needed to fulfill the remaining 50 backers.

This has been an immense source of frustration. Their ability to communicate with us has been extremely poor. We're aware things have been busy and difficult for them during the holiday season but much of what brought us to this situation is unacceptable in our eyes. They have taken an exceptionally long time to even respond to us, they lost an entire group of product, their damaged numbers are higher than what's considered standard and they only take the time to email so they can inform us that the contact person we deal with won't be working due to vacation.

We don't feel this is acceptable and more importantly we are annoyed that our last 50 backers are stuck waiting without a resolution provided for them.

Here's what we are going to do:

We'll reship the remaining rewards from our domestic fulfillment partner. It's a large expense to endure, but we can't accept this state of affairs anymore. We don't want anyone to wait longer than necessary to get their game.

If you are one of the 50 remaining who have not received their rewards, know that we will begin this process immediately so you can get your game to your table as soon as possible.

We will be contacting individual backers directly when we send out their package so that there is no middle man between us and so communication can be as quick and clear as possible.

Missing Components/Damages

We'd also like to remind you that if for any reason your game is missing components or contains damaged ones, please send us an email with your information and what is missing to the email address [email protected]. It WILL be replaced, and you will only receive a reply if there is a problem with your request.

Reaver/Combat Card Files & Age of Kingdoms is now Live!
about 6 years ago – Fri, Feb 02, 2018 at 12:23:37 AM

Exciting day here at ODAM Publishing!

First, in case you missed them in the comments, here are the links for the 9 Reaver cards and the 6 scenario-specific Combat Cards that some backers are missing:

This PDF has the files laid out 3 to a page: this is the simplest option, you can just run these off and cut on the red line:

https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0807/5239/files/TheSharedDream_PNPFullPages2.pdf

This PDF has all of the cards in their actual size without bleeds. You can use Adobe Acrobat to arrange these to print multiple on a page, or you can just straight print and cut them, one to a page:

https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0807/5239/files/TheSharedDream_PNPnomarkings.pdf

This final one is for those of you who are a bit more technically inclined and precise. It includes crop and bleed marks, registration marks, the works:

If you have questions about your components, please check out this previous post:

As mentioned in other comments, the Crux Collection should only have 9 Deliverance Personal Reflection cards, not 10.

We've also launched the campaign for our next board game, Laruna: Age of Kingdoms. While LAOK is different in a lot of ways from The Shared Dream, the campaign promises to be just as fun as this one has been! We hope you check it out and decide to be transported to the world of Laruna!

Keep dreaming!
